United States - 1938 - FIRST SUPERMAN COMIC BOOK
     The first issue of Action Comics featured a red caped crusader from Krypton.  Other super heroes soon challenge the "Man of Steel" at the magazine counter, but Action Comics together with Superman continued to sell a million comics books monthly.
